About this project

Studio Morellon collaborated wit Tangentyere Family Violence Prevention Program to work on an animation explaining the effects of domestic family and sexual violence on children.

This is Jessy's Story. Jessy's Story also shares an alternative story to violence, and pathways for men who are using violence to get support to stop using violence. It also shows the supports available to women and children experiencing violence. A future free from violence for women and children benefits our whole community- individuals, families, and communities.

This is a fully custom animation, crafted from concept to completion. The process began with hand-drawn storyboards to visualise the narrative. Detailed illustrations were then created, followed by meticulous animation. This hands-on approach ensured a high level of quality and attention to detail and a realistic and respectful representation of the people. Violence is represented metaphorically.

Trigger warning: This animation depicts domestic and family violence and the impact that this violence can have on children and could cause distress.
